- well that was a hugely successful competition I had there, the winning picks will be up here as soon as I get some time to ink them - sunday or monday night I’d guess, there’s some alcohol-related business I must attend to tonight and tomorrow first. But in the meantime I got some printing done for the first time in aaaages, mostly involving the relentless torturing of innocent scraps of floor coverings because I am an EVIL LINO-TAUNTING BASTARD:

*I’m away next friday-saturday, which means you lucky dogs get till a week on sunday to completely pervert what I’ve been posting here. Life’s great ay?

As well today: because of myself being a wee bit fussy when I’m designing my own tattoos, I’m still working on the flames design that I roughed out at christmas - I think this is gonna work though, I’ve dug out the lino cuttings and I’m trying this:

This is the first of a series - because of the flat being so damned cold the lino needs to sit on the heater for about half an hour to soften up enough for five minutes cutting time, which means I’ll get a nice freeze-frame effect if this works out.

- Right you guys to relieve the crushing boredom I am going to have a caption competition this week, it’s gonna be bloody and not all of you will get back in one piece but I’m pretty sure it’ll be worth it in the end. The deal is that every day this week, I’m going to post a different picture here for your commenting pleasure. Once everything’s up I’ll give a few days for you all to think up stuffs, then the winners will get… well there’s a couple of possibilities because like always I haven’t thought this one through yet, but I’m pretty sure it’ll involve posting stuff* out to whoever’s daft enough to win.

- well any semblance of an update ’schedule’ has been thoroughly minced by now, but never mind - here’s a scene from my thrill-a-minute life:

I think I might have said this before, but back in December I started working full-time, and while it’s pretty damn great having access to all the books I can fold into hats read, I’ve got a hell of a lot less time in the day to draw stuffs. I’m starting to get the hang of things though, and I should be able to start posting random things again fairly shortly. Just as soon as I stop feeling like this:
